This little piggy went to market…secret revealed!

It’s hard not to pass up on a good shopping opportunity, especially when it involves vintage items. I can now indulgently add the Geelong Vintage Market to my list of go-to market greats. With thousands of products and over 60 different stalls, you are sure to find that special distinctive piece to add a little difference to your home. From vintage to retro, rustic and handmade, pendants to sofas, cabinets and books…it pretty much has every genre you can think of.

The standout stalls here include 2klabware, full of amber apothecary jars, DIY industrial pendant lights and scientific glassware.

Plus, a stall with handmade industrial style lights made from interesting items. There is so much more to mention such as vintage signs and lights, old suitcases, sporting gear, tea sets, upcycled furniture, handmade slogan t- shirts and many more knick knacks. I’m getting dizzy just thinking about it! Find 2klabware’s online store here.

Located at 287-301 Melbourne Rd, North Geelong. Ph: 5277 1186. Open 7 days from 10am to 6pm.

Next door is Schots Home Emporium. You might as well duck in here for some retail spending. Not only do they stock a large mix of furniture, accessories, hardware, bathroom furniture and tiles, but they have a fantastically huge pendant light display.

Without a joke, the pendant light section…it’s about the size of a netball court!

They range from industrial to modern and you’ll have a hard time picking your favourite! A special mention goes to their leather goods, basket ware, bone inlay goods and their large range of retro and industrial furniture. Located at 299 Melbourne Rd North Geelong. Ph: 1300 693 693. Follow them on Instagram #schotshomeemporium and check out their eBay store and online store.
